Gave my Intruder 1400 a new look with a 13*, 8 inch over chopper kit and put the original sissy bar back on to keep the girl from sliding off. Still have to put forward controls on to complete. Great 50/50 bike! Looks like a $30,000 custom chopper 50 feet away going by at 50mph. Total dollar investment though is only $5,000.

batomiss.hotmail.com - hey, my dad just gave me his 1987 intruder 1400, im not crazy about the forks or the handel bars, do you have any tips on how to go about changing them, money is tight so if i could find a straight pair of bars first that would make me very happy with this new bike of mine. i have had to rice rockets before this but to many of friends around me have been getting hurt or worse so thought i could calm down abit on my first cruser. I am 26 years old and live in south florida so riding is always an option. thanx

dank.townisp.com - Sorry so late. Hope all worked out for you.If not, 87's have 1 inch bars with internal wiring through the bars and risers. The bars I have are actually from a Honda, I forget what model. I went to a dealer that sold almost all the manufacturers and just found a bike with the bars I liked. They are low profile with a little raise and little bend back. They clear the tank with the stock risers. They were around $70 new. I had to drill them for the wiring.
